Our Philosophy
We tell our Johnson Family Chiropractic & Sports Clinic patients that life itself is a sport. You don’t have to be an athlete to benefit from our tailored care—the things we do in daily life require our bodies to move as they should to prevent degeneration, pain and dysfunction. We are committed to helping patients from newborns on up through the elderly create and maintain the active life they desire through customized chiropractic adjustments and other healing therapies.

Our History
Dr. Gary Johnson grew up in Pocatello, before attending Boise State as a collegiate wrestler. He completed his church mission in Florida and then went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport.
After receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2001, Dr. Johnson and his family returned home to Pocatello and opened our practice that same year.
For 20 years, we’ve been serving the area from the same location. We’ve been a fixture in the community so long that we now have the opportunity to provide care for the children of patients who were children themselves when we opened!
Customized Care
Every patient is unique, and we tailor care to your specific needs and goals. Dr. Johnson is the only local chiropractor who is certified in extremity adjustments, which is useful for everyone—but especially so for our patients who are athletes. He is also certified in the Webster Technique, a safe, non-invasive method to help align the pelvis and sacrum of pregnant women.
Most patients start care with the desire to get out of pain, and we meet you where you are. If pain relief is your only goal, we will help you get out of pain and send you on your way. If you’re more interested in optimizing function and performance for the long term, we will still start by getting you out of pain. Then we’ll recommend specific strengthening and stabilizing exercises and provide maintenance care to keep you performing at your peak.
